 mixed media self portrait

another self portrait... i took a photo and put it on a painted board then used pen and ink and acrylic paint to enhance it... a fun and different kind of self portrait.
the actual size of the board is 12x12 and the picture is in the right 1/4 of bottom corner. this is a close up of the bottom half of the piece... i gave myself turquoise eyes and silver hair... artistic license...

This is the series of 'me'.  :)   

 i am ever evolving, growing, changing, painting.  there will most likely be more.  

i want to see myself like God sees me.  i probably don't quite  yet but it's a fun journey.

 I heard it was JRR Tolkien who called artists 'sub-creators'.  I love that! 

Since God is the one true Creator we can only attempt to copy His creation.  What a wonder! 

There is indeed nothing new under the sun but it's so exciting to see the many translations into art of God's amazing Creation!  I am entranced and grateful.
